Blackburn exists to provide classical and Christian tutorial services for home school students beginning in grade three. We stress literary excellence, sound reasoning and appreciation of the Biblical and Western tradition.
We exist to assist students in gaining a love for learning, while developing critical reasoning and communication skills.
Partnership: Blackburn is a study center for home schooling families; it is not a school. Parents and tutors work together to create a climate where students are able to develop in knowledge, character, and faith.
Classical: Blackburn offers the Christian family a proven method for educating students to become confident and articulate thinkers able to read perceptively, express themselves well, and understand the ideas and events that have shaped our culture.
Vision
Our goal is to glorify God by equipping students with the tools necessary for a lifetime of learning and encouraging them to live and think within a Christian worldview grounded in the Old and New Testament Scriptures.
